Couple holding hands on Plymouth Hoe

I love this painting. It was painted in the studio on linen which is what Van Gogh used its great canvas and is a simple depiction of a view I painted after my first open air paint of 2019. It was painted from the work I did there in the studio. It is simple but very strong to my eyes. One I am very pleased with.  I love the light pastel boats in the distance which was exactly how I saw it in my mind's eye on reflection of that morning there. It was sunny and slightly hazel almost pink and yellow.

45 x 60cm acrylic on canvas

Painted from my plein air day at Plymouth on the Hoe.
