Two Newlyn Boats

Description

There are layers of paint underneath the finished work from previous paintings This very large oil on canvas was the product of many hours of work It depicts a Fishing town loosely based on Newlyn in the evening. There are two boats with fishermen tending to there catch and people milling about the town. The half moon shines brightly and there is a building at the top which loosely translates to a church or a building where people gather together as a community. Newlyn is a tightly knit community reliant on fishing and the catch.
