Sunday Regatta at Marazion

Sometimes I want a break from the dark browns and umbers and the moody prussian blue that I see a lot here in Cornwall and just want to have a bit of fun and be free like a child exploring paint. This picture is one of those. Painted in the Autumn when I change to indoor painting. It is a stunning and vibrant depiction of a Regatta at Marazion .This large picture framed in white and using thick impasto oil paint in parts really greets the eye with an uplifting and cheerful view. A great way to start the day and would look good in any breakfast room.
