St Michaels Mount and Beach

This is a Plein air oil painting on Linen. Painted one morning in June just as the tide was going out. When I set up the tide was still up and only a few people walked pass on there way to catch the Ferries over to the Mount. When the tide goes out the ferries have to change position and here they are embarking from Chapel Rock. Also people set up their parasols and windbreaks with there families and I just seemed to catch it all. One family said " Oh there is an artist I hope we don't get in his way,I said it`s great to see you, adds a bit of life to my painting" and we were all happy.

16 x 24inches

`Sat just below the car park overlooking the beach and the mount
